Mykonos

Mykonos is one of the most famous Greek islands with a surface area of ??85 km2. Mykonos Town is a vibrant town with bright white houses with stone benches and beautifully colored doors and balconies. The center is a real maze of narrow streets with whitewashed houses, tavernas and shops. The houses are built to the sea. Because of this it is also known as 'Little Venice'.

Mykonos is a Greek party island that attracts many tourists from all over the world. It is a relatively expensive and crowded island and most tourists come for the trendy beaches and exuberant nightlife. Especially in the months of July and August it can be very crowded on the island.

In the village of Áno Méra you will the Tourlianí monastery that dates from the 16th century. From Mykonos you can make excursions to the historical island of Delos. Delos is a small uninhabited island which lies 2.5 km southwest of Mykonos. It is one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece.

In Mykonos Town you find a labyrinth of whitewashed streets full of shops, cozy taverns, trendy bars and cafes and the white windmills.

The waves of the sea literally hits the colorful houses with wooden balconies in Little Venice , the most popular part of Mykonos.

Delos is a small island near Mykonos, it is one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece.

In the south of the island you will find the beautiful beaches Paradise Beach and Super Paradise Beach
