Island hopping Saronic islands

Island Hopping Saronic Gulf

The Saronic islands are located in the Argosaronic gulf, south of Athens and east of the Peloponnese.

The islands have tourism, but are still unknown to the general public. They are mainly visited during holidays and weekends by the inhabitants of Athens. These islands are quite close to the mainland and therefore easy to reach.

Because the islands are not known to the general public they are still quite authentic. Each island has its own character and atmosphere. This makes these islands even more attractive.

The original Poros, just off the coast of the Peloponnese, has nice coves with clear blue water. Aegina is famous for its monasteries and churches and the delicious pistachio nuts that are grown here.
