Leros is an island in the Dodecanese with an surface area of approximately 53 km2. It is a quiet island which is not flooded by tourists. Like the other islands of the Dodecanese Leros had Italian occupiers too. Therefore you will find some art deco building with Italian ambiance besides the typical Greek buildings.
Leros is an island with many bays with beautiful beaches, fertile valleys, natural harbors and a good infrastructure. You will also find excavations, an ancient castle and a museum about the battle of Leros, one of the fiercest battles in Greece during World War II.
