Sivota was originally a fishing village, but is now a small 'harbor town' where many sailing yachts moor. The cosy center has Greek charm. On the small quay are several taverns, a few shops and fine terraces.
Sivota is surrounded by hills of pine, cypress and olive trees. In many places the trees reach to the coast and provide shade on the beaches. The area is quite green, especially on one of the many small islands that lie in the bay and can be reached by boat.
The island of Bélla Vraka can be reached by wading through the sea. To get to the other islands (such as Mavro Oros and Agios Nikolaos), you can rent a boat yourself. With your boat you can discover quiet beaches. Even without a boat you can reach beautiful beaches such as Zavia and Mikros Paradissos.
Tips from Sivota:
An hour's drive away are the beautiful mountain villages of Zagoria and the Vikos gorge. A beautiful hiking area with the deepest gorge in the world, Vikos. This gorge has a length of 16 kilometers. Another recommendation is the Acheron gorge, where you can walk along the river Styx.
The places Parga and Ioannina are also worth a visit.
