Aegina is about 85 km2 and belongs to the Saronic Islands. It is located about 20 km off the coast of Athens. Aegina has a rich history and is best known for its pistachios.
Aegina Town is the main town on the island and has many neoclassical buildings. Most restaurants and tourist shops can be found in the port of Aegina City.
Other ports are Agia Marina, Perdika and Souvala. Boats leave from the small fishing port of Perdika to the quiet islands of Angistri and Moni. Here you can enjoy absolute peace and unspoilt nature.
