Everything was taken care of down to the smallest detail

We had a fantastic holiday in Greece. What a wonderful country to visit!
Great weather, welcoming and friendly people, and delicious food. Everything was taken care of down to the smallest detail, including transfers and accommodation.
Poros, Hydra and Spetses were lovely islands. We immediately fell in love with Poros.
Truly Greek, some tourists, but not too many. New Aegli Resort was a great hotel. We had a beautiful, spacious room on the 3rd floor with a magnificent sea view and a comfortable bed. Plus: a fridge in the room with ice cubes. (A fridge was also available in the other accommodations).
It was pleasant to walk around the town of Poros. Nice streets. We also went on a day hike through the mountains. We encountered a large herd of goats on the way.
Then on to Hydra. Here we hit the jackpot.
There was a festival that weekend for Admiral Miaoulis. An admiral who destroyed the last ship in the battle against the Turks and who is commemorated here every year.

There was a parade, music and fireworks.
Nice accommodation, Mistral Hotel. Quiet, but close to the centre. Large room and high-end breakfast. (bed a little less so)
We took a lovely walk through the streets of the town.
Then on to Spetses. Also nice, small-scale accommodation. Orloff Resort. With a great breakfast.
(Small downside: no plug near the mirror.) Very comfortable beds!
Finally, a few more days in Athens. We had a great time there too. What a beautiful city. Good hotel location. Too bad there were always so many people at the pool, so we couldn't use it. But what a beautiful city to wander around for a few days. We saw a lot!
