What a fantastic trip it was again! We went to places we never would have thought of. The hotel locations were also special.
The first few days in Sivota: we recovered, rented a boat, went to the beaches, strolled around the town and explored the area. The hotel was basic but good, it was fantastic with a beautiful view from the balcony.
Then to Meteora. This is a special destination with monasteries on the rocks. We walked around with a guide who knew a lot about nature, history and the monasteries. Highly recommended.
The hotel (Doupiani House) was charming. Beautiful rooms, a very generous breakfast and a lovely garden where we could still enjoy the beautiful view of Meteora in the afternoon while sipping a glass of good wine.
Then on to Ioannina. A lively city with few foreign tourists. That made it very special. The hotel was very comfortable with a pretty courtyard where we could also have breakfast. This hotel was also ideal, close to the tourist sites.
After a few busy days, it was wonderful to relax on Paxos. Gaios is a tourist spot but very comfortable with many restaurants. We spent a lovely day at the beach on Anti-Paxos and once again hired a boat and sailed around the island for a day. It was nice that this hotel had a swimming pool where we could relax at the end of the day.
We spent the last few days in Corfu. At first, we had to get used to it and find our way around. The hotel was nice but a bit isolated. There was a long sandy beach in the neighbourhood, where there were some good restaurants. It took about 15 minutes to walk there. We drove to other beaches in beautiful bays, but it was always an hour's drive away. Corfu town was also an hour's drive away. The view from our balcony was once again superb.
The entire trip was perfectly organised by you. There were a few issues with the ferry tickets from Paxos to Corfu, but these were resolved very well. In short: a great holiday.
If we return to Greece, we will definitely do so through you!
