Our 16 day trip to Athens/Cyclades was in a word fantastic. Everything was well organized and executed. The hotel in Athens needs renovation and they are working on it too. The room facilities were good. The location was perfect. What a wonderful view from the breakfast room. Mykonos: We have already informed you how we were very enthusiastic about the renovated rooms. Luxury finish in terms of plumbing and furnishings. The lady at the reception was very helpful. I received many suggestions on restaurants, public transport and attractions. The hotel is highly recommended, Mykonos is very hectic for us because of all the cruise passengers visiting. Indeed the Greek Ibiza in terms of price and atmosphere. Pick up and drop off service on time and well organized. Paros: The hotel is beautiful, but definitely not suitable for people with walking difficulties or the elderly. The room decoration is clean but simple. Bathroom in our opinion minimal. The reception is not really informative. Walk from the hotel to the center but during the night there is not much light. The view compensates a lot in this hotel. You can explore the island very well with public transport. You also walked the Byzantine path from Lefkes to Podoros. It is fun, easy and a beautiful piece of nature. They picked us up in a VIP limousine and took us to the port. It turned out that we would travel on another boat that left 30 minutes earlier. Naxos: good hotel, well located to the beach, public transport, warm and helpful welcome. Nice spacious room with excellent sanitary facilities. Good breakfast with something extra every day. We rented a car for 1 day. I really recommend. This island, has our personal preferences in terms of nature and attractions. This time a bus came to pick us up. Something different. Santorini: The hotel looks dark and old at first glance, but the rooms certainly weren't. Nice pool and bar. Helpful reception with tips on public transport and attractions. The most extensive breakfast of all the hotels. Luckily we went to Fira and Oia on a cruise one day. Our tip in Akrotiri is that the frescoes can be seen in the Archaeological Museum in Fira. The Akrotiri Museum is highly recommended. Kamari is a real tourist resort. We had a very relaxing holiday, partly thanks to the good organization. Everything was on time and our pick-up is visible at the airport and on the ferries.
We look back on our holiday with a very good feeling.
Warm greetings from 2 satisfied customers.
