Syros was great

"I had another wonderful trip that was a success partly thanks to your contribution. You were absolutely right about Mykonos. I was there for 3 days and it was actually 2 too many ..... but I'm not sorry, I now know that I don't want to go there anymore. Very expensive and for a completely different target group. Lots of jet set people and it's all about "seeing and being seen". Not my island ...

Syros was great. Beautiful island and the Benois Hotel was beyond expectations. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good. For me the hotel was maybe a bit too luxurious, but it was sometimes nice to experience it.

Paros is my favorite island and I had a great time there. The High Mill Hotel was a bit less than expected. The name "resort" doesn't really deserve it anymore. The surroundings and the garden were nice, but the room quite austere and old. It was also a long walk to the center and a beach that, by the way, was not at all nearby. Still, it was very nice to be there again. The ladies at the reception were very friendly!

Then on to Naxos to the Naxos beach hotel. It was almost perfect on the beach and the breakfast was great! So and so tasty ... Nice walking distance to the city.
Here too the room was a little less old. The balcony was totally small. I could just sit on it, but the balcony door could not open / close when I sat on it. There were 2 old folding chairs and when I went to ask for another chair, I was not helped very friendly. In the end, a slightly better seat. I found the staff not really friendly, even a bit stiff. I am not used to it from the Greeks.

Finally to Mykonos where the reception in the garden of the Vienoula hotel was extremely friendly and the room was good. The breakfast was a bit sober but sufficient. The walk to Mykonos town was a bit disappointing. It was sometimes a challenge not to be caught on a narrow road where at times was very fast. Long live taxis if I had to go back late at night.

Overall it was a good holiday again! I actually prefer apartments because I can make my own coffee myself. This trip I couldn't and I missed it. Anyway, I am still very satisfied with the trip.
