We had a wonderful stay. We really liked the rhythm of three nights in each place. The journey and transfers went smoothly; the only remark we could make is that we were picked up very early from the hotels to the ferry, with the consequence that you wait more than an hour there for the boat to arrive. (So we were systematically the first on the dock ...).
The advice to return from Santorini is indeed very sensible, it saves a long boat trip. Athens: The Arion hotel is really good. Clean and nice rooms, quiet location and yet in the middle of the city, everything is within walking distance. Dimitris picked us up at the airport, a very friendly driver who immediately gave us a comfortable "home feeling". And Psiri is a nice neighborhood with many restaurants and cafes around the corner. We started here with a bike ride on the first day. They are also located there in the neighborhood. This way you can explore the city, the neighborhoods, the distances in a few hours and learn in a very relaxed way about the culture, history, etc. We thought it was a must. Paros: Margarita's House was really beautiful. Very friendly welcome, clear that they want to organize everything for you, etc.
She did it once, with a day of car rental. Really relaxed that you can just leave and return the car there. Cold pool, yes...
Naousa really seems like the most beautiful village. The season hadn't really started yet, everyone was busy doing with painting. Not everything was open yet. But it wasn't that busy either. So, pros and cons. Maybe if you want to keep it affordable, don't eat too close to the port. Naxos: wonderful to be so close to the beautiful beach. You can walk from Spiros to St. George's beach and the town. We were warmly welcomed with detailed explanations about the town and the island. Tasty and very rich breakfast! Stelios was also hospitable. We were just there for Orthodox Easter. You notice that it is special there. That's good. But also good to take into account, because all bakeries etc. are closed, there is almost no bread available for two days. And not all restaurants will be open at that time, although we managed to get by. Santorini: Loizos apartments have a nice style, nice rooms and a great location on the outskirts of Fira: tranquility and yet close to the town and the caldera. Maria was always ready with advice, help, tips and again a nice car rental. Really a good idea to stay here instead of Kamari (where we have also been), unless you really want to be on the beach again, but we were very pleased with it. Excavations in Akrotiri, ancient Thira on the mountain, Oia (and how crowded it is, it really felt like the authenticity was slowly disappearing, thanks to the traffic jams along the jewelry stores etc. - although it is really a unique and beautiful village that you must visit).

Thank you for providing a top-notch program. We really appreciated it. And especially thank you for arranging the first extra day in Athens when our flight times had changed. It really made the holiday more enjoyable, richer and more relaxed.

Sincerely,
Wim Jan
