Car rental conditions
We have planned different types of cars for different number of people. After all, you need more space with four people than with two.
- For 1 and 2 persons, we propose a Fiat Panda or similar
- For 3 persons, we propose a Volkswagen Polo or similar
- For 4 persons, we propose a Ford Focus or similar
- If you are traveling with more people or need more space, please ask us for a quotation.
Car rental includes
- UNLIMITED MILEAGE
- AIRPORT SERVICE CHARGES
- LIABILITY INSURANCE according to the rental terms and conditions: Total coverage EUR 2.000.000. Material damage EUR 1.220.000. Personal injury EUR 1.220.000
- ADDITIONAL LIABILITY INSURANCE of EUR 7.5 million/li>
- CDW INSURANCE (damage to the rental car): included, no excess.
- TP INSURANCE (theft protection): included, no excess. (At violation of rental conditions or damage due to negligence insurances will expire)
- Refund of damages to windows, tires, roof and undercarriage, including oil pan and clutch, is included: In case of damage you will pay the amount locally to the rental company and Sunny Cars will refund this after returning home. It is therefore not necessary to purchase an extra insurance locally.
- REFUND OF PROCESSING FEES FOR DAMAGES
- REFUND OF TOWING COSTS IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT OR TECHNICAL ISSUES
- REFUND OF DAMAGES TO EQUIPMENT SUCH AS RADIO AND GPS CAUSED BY (ATTEMPT TO) THEFT
- ADDITIONAL DRIVER: 1 included, every other additional driver € 3,72 per day, max. € 60 per rental period per driver
- Fuel policy FF: Return the car with the same amount of gas as you have received it, usually this is "full-full"
- REFUND OF COSTS CAUSED BY DAMAGE OR LOSS OF THE CAR KEYS/PAPERS
- LOCAL TAXES: On the rental price as well as on all listed inclusive services.
Important additional rental information:
- PICK UP OUTSIDE OFFICE HOURS: on request only possible for € 26,04
- DEPOSIT: € 100, credit card as deposit is advised. EC-, Debit-, Prepaid Cards, Visa Electron and non-embossed Credit Cards are not accepted
- DRIVERS LICENSE: drivers must be in possession of a driverslicence for at least one year.
- MINIMUM/MAXIMUM AGE: Minimum age is 23, maximum age is 75. Under age supplement for 21-22 years old or senior supplement for drivers older than 75 years is € 18,60 per rental period.
- DELIVERIES: On request only, with a surcharge of € 24,80 per way. On Kefalonia island not possible to hotels in Fiskardo
- HARBOUR DELIVERY: on request only possible. Free of charge in Paros, Santorini, Samos, Alonissos, Naxos, Milos, Skopelos and Ios. All other harbours are € 24,80 per way. Not possible in Fiskardo harbour.
- CROSS BORDER: not allowed. Island-hopping and taking the car between the mainland (only in Greece) and the islands and vice versa is possible on request. Please note you are not insured on the ferry and when your car breaks down on another island. For this you can take an insurance, see below.
- FERRY INSURANCE: € 74,40 per rental

- BABYSEAT (up to 11 months): on request only: € 3,72 per day, max € 60 per rental period per seat. (not possible for jeeps)
- CHILDSEAT (up to 6 years): on request only: € 3,72 per day, max € 60 per rental period per seat. (not possible for jeeps)
